Daniel Settatree

Since graduating from Hull University in 1995 with a degree in Drama, Daniel has been on a variety of art adventures, initially in the arena of theatre and performance. He returned to a more focused fine art practice in 2010 and completed his foundation in Art and Design at Birmingham City University.

Whilst finding his voice as an artist, Daniel has worked in the field of Child Health and Development, and increasingly feels the need to combine the two with a socially engaged practice that is firmly embedded in the community he lives in.

Most recently Daniel completed a located residency with National Theatre Wales called “Our Curiosities” with Catherine Dyson (writer and performer) to explore the voices of people living with Autism and Asperger’s (link to Radio 4 programme to be aired in December 2018 and subsequently on BBC iPlayer: https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/m0001mdg)

He is encouraged by the potential for nurturing and providing opportunities within the community of Haverfordwest for further performative and artistic explorations and increasingly feel drawn towards the overlap between the arts and science by continuing to ask questions and leap bravely into the unknown.
